As we enter Super Bowl weekend, public attention turns not only to the game itself, but the ads which have become such a hallmark of TV’s biggest event. At a reported average of $5 million per 30-second ad,  the investment stakes are high for companies wanting ad space. Some companies are even spending an extra million to market and tease their promotional spots before Super Bowl Sunday. Below are some of the tech ads that are already buzzing ahead of the Big Game.

Phones and Football

Major mobile phone names Sprint and T-Mobile have carved out their space in Sunday’s competitive commercial breaks. Sprint’s promo claims that customers will go to extremes to escape their Verizon contracts, and in their commercial, a father pushes his car over a cliff to fake his own death. This ad once again utilizes the former Verizon spokesperson Paul Marcarelli. T-Mobile has paid to run an undisclosed number of spots, but what they’ve released so far is a spot starring a dapper Justin Bieber. A second ad will also air, featuring cooking show co-stars Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg.

Battle of the Web Builders

Besides the contest taking place on the field, three prominent names from the web building market will duke it out as well. Variety reports GoDaddy, Wix.com and Squarespace will all three get airtime during the game . GoDaddy’s ad will utilize a slew of nods to viral videos while portraying the Internet as a person. Wix and Squarespace, by contrast, are taking the celebrity route. Wix opted for an action movie send-up starring Jason Statham and Gal Gadot, while Squarespace tapped John Malkovich for a comedic story about domain availability. By Monday, it may be evident which web design site’s tactic comes out on top.

Other Tech

According to AdAge, there are plenty of other tech ads that people could be talking about by next week as well. For game enthusiasts of the electronic variety, mobile app games Mobile Strike and Evony will be have promos, and Nintendo will make its Super Bowl debut with an ad for its new console the Nintendo Switch. The streaming service Hulu will devote its ad time to its original series “The Handmaid’s Tale” (based on the book by Margaret Atwood), while rival service Netflix seems absent from the Super Bowl commercial schedule, according to the current publicized lineups.
